A1: High-quality saffron has vibrant red stigmas, a strong aroma, and a slightly bitter taste. Avoid saffron that is yellow, brittle, or lacks fragrance, as this may indicate lower quality or adulteration.

 

Q2: Is your saffron authentic?
A2: Yes. All our saffron is 100% pure and authentic, with no artificial colours, dyes, or fillers. Each batch is carefully inspected and tested by an independent QC lab to ensure quality and purity in accordance with ISO-3632.

 

Q3: Where is your saffron sourced from?
A3: Our saffron is sourced directly from trusted farms in western Afghanistan (Herat province), where traditional cultivation practices ensure high-quality stigmas.

 

Q4: How is saffron harvested and processed?
A4: Saffron is hand-harvested to preserve the delicate stigmas. After harvesting, the stigmas are carefully dried under controlled conditions to retain aroma, colour, and flavour.

 

Q5: How should I store saffron to maintain its quality?
A5: Store saffron in an airtight container in a cool, dark, and dry place. Avoid exposure to moisture, heat, and sunlight to preserve its aroma and potency.

Q7: What is the difference between premium and regular saffron?
A7: Premium saffron contains mostly the red stigmas with minimal yellow style, offering more intense colour, aroma, and flavour. Regular saffron may contain more yellow style or shorter strands, which have lower potency.

 

Q8: Are your saffron certified for quality?
A8: Yes. Our saffron comes with ISO-3632 certification by an independent QC laboratory, which confirm its quality and purity. Our saffron meets strict quality standards. For instance, our saffron shows: 

  • Picrocrocin levels (responsible for flavour strenght) 57% higher than that of category 1 saffron as specified by ISO-3632.
  • Crocin levels (responsible for colouring strenght) 45% higher than that of  category 1 saffron as specified by ISO-3632.

Q8: How Much Saffron is in 1 Gram?
A8: Each gram of our premium Afghan saffron contains approximately 450–500 individual threads, hand-harvested from the delicate Crocus sativus flower.

  • A small pinch (about 15–20 threads) is enough to infuse vibrant colour, rich aroma, and exquisite flavour into your dishes.
  • With careful use, 1 gram can enhance 15–20 recipes, making it a luxurious yet long-lasting addition to your kitchen.

Q1: What payment methods do you accept?
A1: In order to process you payment we work with Stripe, who accepts major credit and debit cards and other secure payment methods displayed at checkout.

 

Q2: Can I change or cancel my order?
A2: Orders can only be modified or cancelled within 1 hour of placing them. Please contact us immediately at info@saffronroyale.co.uk

 

Q3: Is it safe to use my card on your website?
A3: Yes. All transactions are securely processed via Stripe and protected with industry-standard encryption.

Shipping & Delivery

Q1: How long will my order take to arrive?
A1: We aim to process your order on the same working day. Delivery options are displayed at checkout. We usually ship with RoyalMail Tracked 24 or 48. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.

 

Q2: Do you ship internationally?
A2: Yes, we are happy to ship to other countries. Shipping costs and delivery times will depend on your location. Please contact us at info@saffronroyale.co.uk before placing an order.

 

Q3: Can I track my order?
A3: Yes. After your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email.

Returns & Refunds

Q1: How can I return an item?
A1: Contact us via email within 14 days of receiving your order. Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging.

 

Q2: Can I get a refund or exchange?
A2: Yes. We offer a refund or exchange, minus shipping costs and a £2 Stripe processing fee.

 

Q3: What if I receive a damaged or faulty item?
A3: If an item is damaged or faulty:

  • Notify us by email within 24 hours.
  • Include photos of the damage or defect.
  • We will respond within 24–48 hours with options for a replacement or full refund.

Refunds are issued once the item is returned in its original packaging.

Q1: Do I need an account to place an order?
A1: No, you can checkout as a guest. Creating an account allows you to track orders and manage your details more easily.

 

Q2: How do you protect my personal information?
